Session 1 – What Do Readers Do as They Read?

9:30 - 10:30am (PDT), Grades K-2

This one-hour session explores reading behaviors,
understandings, and attitudes that develop over time and
offers tools to support teachers in their observations. We
examine student discussion, teacher questioning, and
student artifacts to consider how we analyze student
meaning-making processes and what our observations tell
us about readers.
