Session 2- What Do Running Records Actually Tell Me?
7:00-9:00am (PDT), Grades 3-5
9:30-11:30am (PDT), Grades K-2
This two-hour session has two parts. The first hour builds
on the ideas from Session 1 and begins with a discussion,
analysis, and coaching for teachers who bring
assessments of their own students. The second hour delves
into informal running records. We take and analyze
records of reading behaviors to notice literal, interpretive,
and analytical/critical understandings being constructed
by students and consider implications for next steps.
